Admins can add News Posts by navigating to /admin > Content > News & clicking the Create News Post Button.
Create a title for the news post
Select tags related to the news post you are creating. Keep in mind that these are internal & not visible to the public. They are used to create News Modules based on tags elsewhere on the site.
Choose an image for your News Post. This image will automatically be cropped & will crop differently based on the device you are on. In general, Create images with a 16:9 radio (recommended minimum dimensions: 2560x1440). Keep graphics / text away from the edges of your image & remember that the Hero module on the homepage will add an overlay to the bottom part of your image, so you may want to avoid graphics & text in these images.
Add the content of your news post via a WYSIWYG editor. All the functions available to you on the WYSIWYG module are available here (images, buttons, YouTube embeds, etc.).
Add additional modules. Just like on static pages, you may add as many modules as you wish (use the featured games module to display a set of games, related news, photo galleries, etc.).
To publish right away check the Publish Now button. Otherwise, select a time/date for the post to publish.
How to add Related Content to News Posts
You can control what content appears next to news posts. A best practice is to add the referenced game in the right rail along with any other relevant content. Navigate to the Related Content tab & click Add Item.
You can choose to display a related Game, News Post, or Page.
Start typing the game title, news post title, or page title & select the correct entry.
Add additional modules below the News Post
Under Pages Configuration admins can define the default modules that should appear below each news post. If you are OK with accepting the default modules then leave the Default Modules box checked.
If you prefer to hand-pick the modules for this particular News Post you can deselect the Default Modules box & add modules as needed.
