If you are using this platform for a venue or music festival, you are in luck! This was purpose-built for you. It is important that all of your listings help users discover more information about the artists performing at your events. Links back to their website & to listen to their music will help encourage music discovery, which only benefits all of us. However, Managing an ever evolving list of artists can be daunting.
Once you build an artist profile on your site it will live in the backend forever. You may need to update the press photo the next time they perform at your space, but that's much less work than going through the process of building a profile every time.
Create a New Artist Profile
Head to your admin panel & locate the Artists Tab. Click on it & then click the New artist button.
Alternately, If you are building an event or a festival lineup you will see a + Add New Artist button where you can create a new artist. The process looks exactly the same once you begin.
When creating an artist profile the only required field is the artist name. We encourage you to add more, but if you are in a hurry you can always come back to finish the profile.
How to edit an Artist Profile
You can head back to the Artists tab in your admin panel to view the list of artists in your database. You can search for an artist name or filter by content status. There are four content statuses:
- OK: Has an image + at least one link
- Needs Links & Media: Needs an image + at least one link
- Needs Links: Needs at least one link
- Needs Media: Needs an image
Edit the artist profile to add any missing content.
